It is an understatement to say that Alexander Campbell had a way with words. In chapter one of his book “The Christian System,” titled “The Universe,” consisting of less than two pages, he explains how the vast intricacies of God’s incomprehensible creation must inspire humility in anyone who ventures to speak for God. Have a listen!

Sermon #13 in Volume 1 of “The Gospel Preacher” by Benjamin Franklin is “Union of Christians.” Franklin criticizes denominational division on the basis of the New Testament’s teaching on unity.
Another great sermon by Benjamin Franklin in which he demonstrates that obeying the gospel is a must to be saved. Listen here.
I have now added the last 5 audio portions of Aylette Raines’ “A Refutation of the Doctrine of Total Hereditary Depravity” (1833 edition). These portions are files 13 thru 16 on the link below and the “Introduction” which I did not have when I started the book. Even though nearly 200 years old, this book is still very relevant today. And even though relatively short (only 96 pages), it is nevertheless a thorough refutation of the doctrine. Listen online or download freely as you wish.
Predestination and the Foreknowledge of God is an important Bible subject. Benjamin Franklin explains this Bible doctrine in simple and unmistakable terms in his Sermon #11 from “The Gospel Preacher Vol. 1” published in 1869.

Aylette Raines demonstrates how language (in the Bible) is the most fit way for God to influence people for salvation. Another great argument from his book, A Refutation of the Doctrine of Total Hereditary Depravity (1833).

Just uploaded an audio file of an other section of Aylette Raines’ great book, “A Refutation of the Doctrine of Total Hereditary Depravity.” He calls this section, “On the Power of Truth and Its Fitness to Operate on Human Nature.” His argument is that the truth as preached by the apostles, combined with the evidence of miracles and prophecy, is the converting power of the Holy Spirit. Special direct operations of the Spirit in conversion are not taught in the New Testament. Have a listen! His writing is great!
